Interesting thoughts on leadership and Systems Thinking. I’d like to hear more from others in our community. Anyone?
It’s worth noting that under Leadership, we have “When there are problems, change the system”.
Just an immediate thought…Leadership challenges, encourages, supports, & corrects and is therefore a good base from which to build. Systems thinking is the field through which we execute the four pillar, and is woven through the fabric and structure of the house.
Al Shalloway verbally commented to me that the foundation should be Systems Thinking. I agree: That is the spring from which Lean has come (according to Deming). I therefore propose we make Systems Thinking the foundation, and move “Leadership” to become a fifth pillar.
